I'm in love!
By Bananabreath
I am convinced that Nespresso machines are the best home espresso machine. Period. The only way you could better would be to buy a real-deal commercial machine but, of course, that is not practical, at all.I own a coffeehouse but need a machine for my vacation home, I went straight for this model of Nespresso. The coffee is amazing (I haven't had a variety that I didn't like - and the decaf is good too - so rare.) The milk frother is brilliant, fantastic technology that produces yummy steamed milk with creamy perfect froth. It is also an attractive appliance, clean design, doesn't take up a lot of space, solid construction, and easy to maintain.

Great espresso from a good-looking machine
By William Jens Jensen
First, I admit that this purchase was an extravagant home office accessory. Nonetheless, shouldn't a home office have a few perquisites for the sole employee and boss? This machine makes great espresso, and even if you don't like the one you just made, you can choose a different pod for the next cup. Everything works as advertised, including the froth maker. The water reservoir holds enough for quite a few espressos and lungos (unlike my Keurig, which, though I love it, I seem to be forever refilling). For me, the Nespresso is not necessarily intended for everyday use, and I haven't had it more than a couple of months, so I cannot comment on durability. But for ease of use (no mess or no cleaning) and speed (an espresso in less than a minute), you cannot beat this machine. I like this cream-colored edition, which looks a bit retro in design (some have commented that it looks a bit like a small sewing machine) and not out-of-place in the office or kitchen. As for the coffee pods, I went to the Nespresso site and for about $150 bought the introductory package, which gave me 300 pods (including a sort of presentation box with a diagram to help choose the type of coffee). That's about fifty cents per cup, and I shouldn't have to purchase more for at least a year. I love it!

LOVE this espresso maker!!!!
By M.A. Andersen
Used to drink espresso with milk years ago and eventually switched to a drip standard coffee maker for time, convenience as my household grew. My husband and I are on different schedules so generally one of us would end of drinking (or re-heating) not too fresh coffee as we were too pressed for time to brew another pot. We did try a Keurig for a time, but my husband never found the coffee taste and strength to his liking. When I decided that I simply needed a good espresso machine I did a ton of research. Read reviews, talked to sales people at the better stores and researched the different brands on the internet. The overall best reviews that combined good espresso and simplicity kept coming out to Nespresso. As I like my espresso with milk and love an evening capuccino, the unit with the milk frother was a no-brainer.BEST purchase I have ever made. Absolutely LOVE this machine. I chose the Citiz D120 with the frother and am so glad I did. How the hell it actually works I'll never know but I promise you ~ this baby froths!!! No more nozzles, burned milk or failed attempts! My son is suddenly addicted to hot chocolates made with milk he froths or simply heats. Iced cappucino? No problem! Just hold the button a few moments longer and you get cold frothed milk. Lots of varieties to chose from and the coffee is ground fresh and packed in to pods to fill your order. Undeniably, Nespresso has quite a racket going on as the pods are not available anywhere except through mail order, but the coffee is fresh and extremely tasty! The only other con I can think of is that it's not a green purchase as the pods are used once and disposed of. The company offers to accept and recycle used pods, but truthfully, it's a pain in the butt to save them and ship them back.Yes, it's true that the pods are on the expensive side. But so are my children. And these days my Nespresso has a much, much higher pleasure to cost ratio at a fraction of the aggravation. Seriously. This machine ROCKS!!!
