I was hesitant about selecting my next espresso machine and read plenty of reviews.I'm happy to say that all of the negative reviews of this machine have to be because of incompetence. It is so simple. I read the manual. I use it 1to 4 times a day. i referenced the manual the first few times i made espresso, dispensed hot water, and frothed milk. I love it. I've found that old coffee certainly has very little crema, however some shots have a bountiful amount of crema. fresh beans with an espresso grind from a good coffee and follow the maual and you wont be disapointed.I LOVE the dosing programing option. I love that i can use my own grounds, or pods if I am in a hurry. I would consider giving this item as a gift for a friend.Yestderday I feared the worst, but also figured it out.what hapened was my coffee was everywhere but my cup. *freaked me out because i read a review that mentioned this*what I did was I thought I had the double shot filter in there. I didn't. So, two things 1. your not supposed to use the portafilter perfect crema thingy (little plastic piece that sits under the other filters it comes with) for the double shot filter and 2. this also meant I was doubling the suggested amount of coffee grounds for this filter. hence, coffee catastrophe.I ran the hot water and flushed out the coffee grounds from it and cleaned her all up and put in the appropriate filter configuration and made some fabulous espresso. my point is , hat happened because I was in a hurry and not paying attention, but because I thouroughly read the manual I also know what I did to cause this malfunction.I was initially worried i would be unhappy with a plasic frothing wand, but I've found It's been good since I'm a novice at frothing milk. If it needs replacing I will consider an upgrade, but until then I am happy with this just the way it is.

I received this machine as a gift and I love it! I was hesitant to buy one myself because it seems impossible to make a good cup of cappuccino at home. I am very picky about my coffee and i'm not patient enough to work with difficult machines that take a lot of time. This machine is perfect for me. The directions were a little confusing at first because they are in so many languages and the buttons don't have words on them, but once you figure it out the first time, it's super easy. I thought I would just be using this once in awhile, but I find myself using it multiple times daily because it's so easy, fast, and quick to clean up. I have absolutely no complaints about the machine.
