5Great Espresso!
By Juan S.
My mom has always used the stove-top espresso maker to make her cafe. She would place it on the stove while she was getting ready for work. I always worried but this is the way she's always done it. We've tried different machines in the past but none would make good cafe con leche so she would already go back to her faithful stove-top maker.I came across this machine on Amazon and it looked like a possible solution. It's a Moka maker (espresso), with the same basic design of her stove-top maker but it was electric and has an auto-shut-off feature. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. I planned on having to it arrive when I was visiting so I could test it and send it back if it didn't fit the bill. BTW, Prime Rules!Anyway, the machine arrived and I immediately unpacked it. In anticipation, I had gone to Starbucks and purchased my favorite, cafe verona. I had purchased the whole bean bag and had them grind it for me (espresso grind). I read the directions and carefully washed the machine with mild soap and warm water. My first batch of espresso was quite strong... I found that their is no need to press the coffee in... better to loosely fill it to the top, without tapping, and screw the top on.The ON switch seems a bit delicate so I am careful with it. We've been using the little machine for the past coup le of days and am very happy with it. The cafe it makes is delicious! It was smaller than I expected but it ended up working out very well in my mom's kitchen. It didn't take up much room nor did it clash with her decor. The Auto-Off feature works perfectly!

5Great!!
By Lisa J. Klaich
I have used stove top espresso makers and they are messy - spewing coffee on the hot stove elements. I have used other electric ones that were cheaper, but they didn't hold up. This espresso maker is fast and good. I love the fact that it is stainless steel. So many are aluminum. So far it looks like it is very sturdy and will hold up well.

4Convenient little coffee pot
By R. Gardocki
I love having espresso on my way to work. Unfortunately, though I love a vente soy latte from Starbuck's, it has gotten too expensive to justify a daily visit. I have a great stovetop moka pot, but only use it on the weekends when I am giving my full attention to the stove and monitoring the brewing process. Enter the convenient electric Aroma moka pot. I fill with water and coffee the night before...then walk downstairs in the morning and just press the button. By the time I'm dressed and ready to leave, my kitchen is filled with the smell of strong fresh moka and I just pour it into a commuter cup, add a generous slosh of soy milk, and off I go. The Aroma turns off automatically, so I don't even have to worry if I can't remember unplugging it. What convenience! Is it as good as my fancy italian stovetop pot? Well, almost.(really) As delicious as my Starbucks soy latte? Uh...well close, but not quite. Of course, I do save myself 10 minutes in line at Starbucks and at least $4/day. So, all in all, it's a pretty sweet deal.I've only used this for one week, so I can't speak to the longevity of the appliance. It seems fairly solid, though. Even if I get only 2 month's use (approximately 40 mornings with the enjoyment of espresso during my morning commute) out of this $50 appliance, I'll be more than satisfied!
