Bugatti 15DIVAC3110 Diva 15-Bar Pump Espresso Machine, Red

Product Description

Easily one of the most stylish espresso machines on the market, the Diva Espresso Machine, by Bugatti. The unit is made of die-cast aluminum with a chromed finish, has a 15-bar pump for quick extraction and a fast startup time for the built-in heating elements. The machine pulls two shots at a time, either through fresh packed grounds or pods, and has an attached steam wand for frothing milk, a process which is helped along by the easy-to-read gauge in the front of the machine that clearly marks the appropriate temperature ranges for pulling shots and steaming milk. All internal parts are Italian made and the most important parts are made inside the BUGATTI GROUP All fittings are in Brass; the best material that can be used for Espresso Coffee machines. The Pump is an ULKA pump 15bar; ULKA is the best Italian company specializing in Pumps and is also the best quality you can find in the market today.

POWER, GRACE, AND BEAUTY
By Robert S. Corrington
I purchased the red model of the Bugatti Diva about two months ago. After decades of burning out cheap espresso/cappuccino machines, I decided to get a more high-end model. What impressed me after pulling a few shots, was the inner power of this espresso maker--with 15 bar pressure, contrasted to the standard 8 or 9, extraction is quick and forceful, finishing with a beautiful light brown crema. It heats up quickly and is quieter during extraction than many other machines in my experience. Everything is solid and clearly designed for years of use. The milk steam frother has equal power to the extractor and sends plenty of heat and steam into the pitcher. The water tank in the back can be more easily filled with a reusable water bottle--avoiding the method of taking it out and carrying it to the water filter at the sink. Augmenting the previous reviewer I grind my beans (at a level just above Turkish coffee grind) and tamp the grind into the other style portafilter from the pod version he uses. I too have high praise for this very solid implement which has a tight and solid feel when connected to the machine, so the reader now has positive reviews of both portafilter versions. Finally, a word about grace and beauty. Aesthetically driven product design hasn't always been part of our lives in North America. The Bugatti Diva has a stark angularity and seems to slighly thrust forth at you with its wonderful large dial, but this assertiveness actually echoes well with my kitchen, and, I suspect, will do so with most other's kitchens. This will certainly be the only time in my life that I will own a Bugatti original. That being said, I give their Diva espresso and capuccino maker the highest possible praise, adding that I recommend the red version for its dramatic presentation of what is, after all, the most important appliance in any cultured and civilized kitchen.

Quite simply, a great machine.
By Richard R. James
Solid construction. This machine is a work of art, and is very, very well made. There's no hint of any part of this thing being "cheap". It looks great, it's easy to use and makes great espresso.

Love It!
By Sam
I now have two pieces of functional art on the counter tops in my kitchen. The Bugatti toaster and the Bugatti espresso maker. They bring my kitchen alive, are focal points and quite the conversation pieces. The espresso maker has true Italian styling and looks like no other machine on the market. The DVD and the printed instructions where easy to follow so now I can make a great cappuccino at home instead of having to drive to the coffee shop each day. What I am saving on my coffee shop runs for a year I spent on this machine. I prefer using the espresso pods instead of loose espresso so I just changed out the filter basket to the one that accepts pods and I was ready to make a great espresso with a nice crème and also a cappuccino with a frothy milk.I can't say enough good things about my new, functional piece of art!

Love it
By Michael B. Hayes Jr.
I have had my Saeco Incanto for 5 years. Just sent it in for a tune up but other than that, its been doing a great job. Just be careful not to get oily beans, they will cause the machine to not recognize them as coffee beans. I had to vaccum out the beans and put in less shiny looking beans. There are several ways to control how strong of a coffee you get.1. Adjust the grind2. Adjust the aroma in the cup settings3. Turn the valve to the right as the coffee is brewing4. Use your favorite preground coffeeIts a dependable machine and well worth the price.

Love this coffee machine! Plenty of information and settings to create a great cup of coffee for any taste. Had others before, but this is simply the best. This is a winning machine...couldn't be happier.

Garbage
By Jake Fortune
When the unit arrived, I opened it up and followed the start up instructions. The "Close Door" message would not go out. The piece that contacts the switch when the door is closed did not make contact. I had to cut a small piece of paper, fold it, and put it in the switch so that when the door was closed, the switch would work and the error message would go out.The steam/hot water knob fell off. It was easily put back on, but fell off several more times while trying to make the unit work.I made my first cup of coffee. It came out lukewarm and weak. (Yes ... I preheated the cup.) I changed the settings to "hot" and "strong." The coffee came out lukewarm and bitter. I tried to make hot water, but the hot water dispenser did not work and neither did the steam function for frothing milk. This is a cheaply made piece of garbage, especially considering the price. The menu system is ridiculous, but at least that worked. Sending the unit back and looking for something that actually works.

Good and Quick
By Amy
After reading a lot of reviews on other machines, I chose this one and I'm so happy with it. I am the only coffee drinker in my family, and I can make two lattes/cappuchinos in just a couple minutes. It is easy to use and easy to clean. The frothing attachement works well, but it does take a few times to get the timing down. For the price, I think this is a fantastic machine.Don't listen to the coffee snobs that think that pump-driven is the only kind to get. Not all of us have the money to afford one.I use Starbucks espresso and it tastes great! Enjoy!

It does the job
By A Customer
I wanted a very inexpensive espresso maker to see just how much I would use it before I invested in one of the top-of-the-line machines. So, I purchased the Mr. Coffee and it's doing the job better than I expected.

I don't use the froth on the Mr. Coffee because I have a separate froth machine which has opposing beaters that makes thick froth, heats, then turns off, all without using steam. Therefore, I have my froth and espresso ready at the same time. I just pour them both into a 15 oz mug and the result is a very hot and great tasting mocha cappuccino ready in 5 minutes. The Mr. Coffee espresso machine works so well that it may be quite some time before I invest in a super-automatic.

For anyone interested in a froth machine, go to frothaulait.com. I've used mine for 2 years and love it.

The up side:1. Quick and easy to clean.2. Simple to use.3. Makes good espresso.4. Small footprint.6. Steam driven so there is no learning curve on tamping the grounds.7. Makes over 8 oz of espresso which is enough for TWO 14-16 oz of cappuccino.

The down side:1. Filter retainer clip is a little flimsy.2. Espresso not comparable to espresso bars or high end machines, but very acceptable.

Tips:1. Use the provided carafe to measure water and pour into machine.2. To cool down the boiler quicker just open the steam valve, but put a sponge under it.3. You can use a cup or carafe unless you want 2 separate cups. In that case use the carafe.

Bottom line:

I can highly recommend this inexpensive entry-level espresso machine.

Worth the $$
By A Customer
Unlike to some other Mr. Coffee products, this one is built to last and does not produce coffee that tastes like plastic. I've had this product for over 4 years now, and I never had the slightest problem with it. Highly recommended!!!
